Close to My Heart: Hindi Verses with their Meanings(Courtesy by Dad)

Whatever little I know of life is through my father's teachings. I've tried to share bits of them through this post.

1. करत-करत अभ्यास के, जड़मति होत सुजान। रसरी आवत जात तें, सिल पर परत निसान।। 

It explains the importance of practice. Practice makes man perfect. Practice I believe, is the most difficult part of learning. It tests many things along with your skill, like patience, focus and persistence. 

2. मन के हारे हार है, मन के जीते जीत|| 

Everything lies within your mind. Indeed. 

3. जैसी नियत वैसी बरकत||

If you wish negativity for someone the negativity will not leave you instead. If you have an optimism about you. It will reflect in your surroundings too. 

4. भूखे भजन न होय गोपाला ले तेरी कंठी ले तेरी माला||

It tells the importance of priority. Address the primary need first and then everything else. When your phone needs charge, it won't be able to run the application which you desperately want to access. 

5. Birth and Death, they are destined. 

You're not gonna get a second chance in life. So live life to the fullest. Do not wait to die. It will happen when it has to happen. 

I can't be more grateful that I got you as my father, papa. Thank you for all the love.
